Welcome

Join us in welcoming Zach Wyatt to the Chattanooga Youth Network!

We are extremely excited about adding Zach to our ministry team. Our desire from the inception of the Chattanooga Youth Network in 1994 has been to serve our regions’ youth ministry leadership so that teenagers, families, churches and communities may be blessed.

Hiring Zach as our Director of Ministry Connections is a strategic decision to deepen our commitment to help youth ministry leaders flourish. Zach’s passion is to create authentic relationships and encourage leaders, which makes him a perfect fit for the job. Zach’s role at CYN is fairly straightforward: get to know every youth leader in the region and help them to know each other better, and strive to keep a pulse on the collective youth ministry needs of our region.

Zach has been in youth ministry for over 15 years. For the past 10 years, Zach served as the Student Pastor at Middle Valley Baptist Church. He and his wife, April, have been married for 12 years and they have two sons, Noah and Eli. April is a teacher at Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences, where Noah and Eli both attend.

To help you get to know Zach better, we asked him for a list of…

random, but true things about Zach Wyatt:

  • My wife has accused me of liking the Tennessee Vols, our grill, my cell phone and the TV more than our children. It’s not true.
  • I love to cook, but rarely cook the same thing twice. I’m constantly “experimenting,” which may or may not annoy my wife.
  • Favorite non-ministry job: I used to glaze hams at a bootleg version of a Honey Baked Ham store. I was handed honey, sugar, a blowtorch and large pieces of meat.
  • I quoted Happy Gilmore in the first apology letter I ever wrote to my wife. I don’t recommend this.
  • I can quote almost every Chris Farley sketch from SNL.
  • I cry in awkward situations.
  • I once caught a girl’s hair on fire during a gospel singing at church when I was a teenager.

With that, we’ll leave the rest for you to hear in person as you hopefully get a chance to spend time with Zach soon!
