Joe Novenson

Joe Novenson, a longterm pastor of three congregations, most recently coming to Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church in 1996. (You read that right! That's 21 years ago!)

Two key formative experiences for Joe have been learning about servanthood from P.T. Chandaphilla in Chennai, and the crushing of his hands two months into his marriage.

The most influential voices in Joe's life have been dead guys. Thus founding The Dead Theologians Society in Chattanooga in '97.

His favorite books are also written by dead guys, The Bruised Reed by Richard Sibbes and The Christian in Complete Armour by William Gurnall.

Joe and his wife, Barb, live on Lookout Mountain and have three children and three grandchildren.
